Meet the Tennis Camp TEAM!

CAMP MANAGER

Klára Gáti Permenter

Hi! I am Klara and welcome to my camp.

Let me tell you a few things about myself.

I am 44 years old, and I am from Baja, Hungary originally, although I currently live in Baia Mare, Romania.

I am married and have two children: a 16 year-old daughter and a 14-year-old son.

I was a tennis player all my life (I guess just after 1980 to be very punctual) and I love this game. So I thought if I am going to do something that I really enjoy, it has to include tennis.

I have been organising summer camps in the last few years, mostly English camps, because I was teaching English.

Now I am very excited about creating an INTERNATIONAL TENNIS CAMP because it will be another element to have kids from UK meet kids from Hungary, Romania and Germany, maybe other countries as well. So, if you are into tennis come along! If you want to have friends abroad, come along! If you are not very self-confident, bring your friend or friends, too! I guarantee you that we are going to have a lot of fun here and you will want to come back next year as well!

If you want to know more about my professional life please follow the link below.

Contact in UK

Andy Loft

Andy is my relative and friend and a professional  tennis trainer in Canterbury, UK. He is the most polite and kind man that I know and I am very excited that he accepted the task of  being our foot on the ground in the UK. So if you have any questions about my camps you can ask Andy with a local UK call to him.

He has visited Baja, Hungary  and my home quiet a few times and has played on the red clay courts of our club. He has also played against Baja tennis players singles matches and doubles matches, too.  He has swum in the river and enjoyed the local food, experienced the local culture, so if you have any doubts about our place, ask him!

TENNIS TRAINER

Gábor Pump

Gábor is a professional tennis trainer, he has been training kids for over 20 years.

He is full of energy, has a sparkling and fun character and can cheer up anybody just being with him for ten minutes. He always charges up my batteries and lights up my day.

He taught his daughter Luca this game and still trains her when she is in Baja. He has three kids: 22, 20 and 18. They all three are into sports (not by chance) and have won lots of medals and cups in their sports.

Gábor has been a Professor of Sports at the local College of Teacher Training in Baja for many years. He has organised summer tennis camps over the last five years and is looking for meeting you this summer.

If you want to know more about his professional life or his summer camps, please follow the link under his picture.

ASSISTANT TRAINER

Luca Pump

Luca is 22 years old and studies in Kansas at Wichita State University in Wichita.

She plays in the University's tennis team that is how she got a scholarship into this college. So this is a possibility for you too, if you want to study in the USA with a sport scholarship you can develop your tennis to a level where universities will take you in and even pay you for playing on their team. Isn't that sweet?

Luca is also a very kind, modest but fun girl. She speaks excellent English and German as well as Hungarian. And she plays tennis so well, I just love to watch her play...

She has lots of medals and cups for her tennis achievements, I will ask her to take a picture for us to post on this site.

She studies psychology.

She also has 2 years of experience working in summer tennis camps with kids, so she is a great young addition to our international camp team.

Programme Organizer

Mónika Karaine Hantai

Monika is a PE teacher at a Christian school in Baja. She was a handball player when she was younger. She has two sons, they are both into sports: triathlone and swimming.

Monika has over 15 years experience of teaching kids and has worked with me in my previous camps so I know that she is a very entertaining programme organizer who knows lots of fun programmes for  after tennis hours.

We often take kids dragonboating on the Sugovica river which involves paddling a large 20 people boat to the drumbeat of the leader. It is a fun exercise and can help promote teambuilding.

Another great activity in planned is to go to the Davod waterpark facilities for some swimming, cooldown and sliding...
